Does Oundle School welcome international pupils?

Absolutely. Oundle is proud to be an internationally respected British boarding school with a global outlook. We warmly welcome pupils from over 30 countries and value the diverse perspectives they bring to our community. Around 20% of our pupils join us from overseas, with an additional 8% being expats.

We look for young people who are both academically ambitious and intellectually curious. Our pupils achieve excellent results at (I)GCSE and A Level and go on to top universities across the UK and around the world.

For applicants whose first language is not English, we ask for a UKiset report (or equivalent) early in the process. This helps us understand whether Oundle is the right fit — both academically and pastorally — before moving forward with registration or assessment.

Wherever possible, we encourage families to visit in person to gain a genuine insight into life at Oundle. Assessments, however, can be sat at British Council offices and interviews are conducted online.

Our international pupils receive a thorough orientation on arrival and are quickly woven into the rhythm of School life. As full boarders, they benefit from all that a seven-day boarding experience offers — friendships, structure, independence and a deep sense of belonging.

Every pupil who joins Oundle becomes part of a lifelong global network of alumni, supported by the Oundle Society and OO Club, with opportunities for mentoring, internships and connections in every corner of the world.
