Does House allocation take new pupils into account?

Yes. When new pupils join, the Registrars and Housemasters/Housemistresses consider carefully which House will suit them best. Balances between Houses are looked at as well as capacity, and the personality fit of the new pupil is taken into account. It’s always done with the aim of supporting the pupil and strengthening the House community.
