How does Oundle support reading and information literacy in the Lower Years?

Reading is given dedicated space in the Third Form (Year 9) timetable, offering pupils a valuable opportunity to read for pleasure. This supports vocabulary development, deepens understanding and helps pupils express themselves with confidence. In addition, Third Formers take part in information literacy courses at the Cripps Library, where they learn how to navigate the digital world and evaluate sources critically – an essential foundation for responsible academic and personal decision-making.
