How does Oundle support wellbeing and mental health?

Oundle takes a whole-School approach to wellbeing. Pupils have access to a dedicated Emotional Wellbeing Team, confidential counselling and pastoral staff who work closely with the Health Centre to provide joined-up support. Wellbeing education is built into the curriculum through the Learning for Life programme and enhanced by workshops, pupil-led initiatives and peer mentoring.

In 2024, Oundle was awarded the HIEDA Seacole Standard and the Health and Wellbeing Champion for All-Round Excellence Award — national recognition for the quality of our care. The Independent Schools Inspectorate also rated pupil wellbeing as a “significant strength” of the School.
