What dance opportunities are available at Oundle?

Several of our pupils attend classes at the Oundle School of Ballet. They offer a full-range of classes which cater to all levels and abilities, and they offer opportunities in addition to what we provide in School. Lisa Hunter, who trained at the Royal Ballet, is an excellent teacher of the Cecchetti method. Individual arrangements can be discussed if classes clash with supper/prep. The School will support wherever possible (this is most of the time) but please be aware that certain School events such as 'Learning for Life' talks will need to take priority on occasion.

In School, we offer as Electives (after-School classes) in Street Dance for Third and Fourth Formers. We also offer Street Dance and Contemporary as a sport (sessions on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday afternoons) which is open to Fifth/Sixth Form pupils in the Michaelmas and Lent Terms as well as another more varied Dance class available in the Summer Term.

The School run a Dance Show every year which is very inclusive and there are always opportunities for Dance in musical and School performances throughout the year. Very often auditions are opened to the whole School for upcoming events.
