Sixth Form pupils study fewer subjects than in previous years but the pace is faster and the intellectual demands are greater. They are expected to engage in regular independent study, wider reading and research. In return, they benefit from a highly collaborative and stimulating learning environment, with the freedom to explore ideas in real depth.
Beyond the classroom, Sixth Form life at Oundle is rich and varied. Pupils are encouraged to immerse themselves in the wider life of the School – through sport, music, drama, societies, leadership roles and service opportunities. Many activities are pupil-led or shaped in collaboration with staff, allowing individuals to take initiative, discover new interests and contribute meaningfully to the School community. Full boarding ensures that friendships are strong and that School life is vibrant throughout the week, helping pupils grow in independence, confidence and responsibility.
