What is the Combined Cadet Force (CCF) and who takes part?

Oundle has the largest School CCF in the country, with over 460 cadets participating weekly. All pupils in the Fourth Form take part, choosing from the Army, Royal Navy or RAF sections, each offering different training and leadership opportunities.

Beyond Fourth Form, pupils may continue into specialist sections such as Fire and Rescue, Adventure Training or Advanced Infantry. Cadets attend field weekends, school holiday camps, and have the chance to pursue external qualifications and experiences – from target shooting and sailing to diving and alpine skiing.
